Okay, so the university officially closed at noon today, for break. I figured, "Great! I'll go in and do some writing. There'll be fewer distractions than at home...no TV, no art table, no piles of Lego I bought yesterday."

Bzzzt.

Literally.

I forgot that they're testing the fire alarms ALL AFTERNOON. And one is right outside my office door. Guess I'll be heading out now that I've done the things I could take care of without needing to concentrate. :/ Although it was amusing watching people in the hallways duck and wince while I was doing my daily walk.

I think there's some law that says fire alarms have to be tested whenever they'll annoy people the most.

Actually, they did try to minimize impact. After all, they waited until after the university was officially closed for break. Anyone still around is on their own. Still, it did mean that I didn't get any more writing on ASH #75 done today. Just wasn't in the mood by the time I got home.
