Knowing me, you know I have to ask: how did he manage that? Picked up a few tricks in his long years on the planet? Some low-observability amulet he picked up for saving a secret tribe, perhaps?
He just knows how to move and take advantage of distractions. I'd also note that a bar full of people isn't the best environment for either infrared or sonar to help. :)
