Misremembered the full name. Nigella Damascena. I've never actually seen one in person, but I found it several years ago when I was doing a "meanings of flowers" search online. http://plants.usda.gov/java/profile?symbol=NIDA I was looking for a flower to represent the idea of corruption, for a Nobilis-inspired take on my old supervillain Acton Lord (living embodiment of the principle that power corrupts, etc).
