Ultimate Nightmare seems to be yet another "The Tunguska Event Was More Than You Think" story, and in this case it clearly was, since the Ultimates version left a serious crater, unlike the real event.
And, apparently, happened 4 years early. The preview I saw showed 1904 instead of 1908 as the date, presumably for some kind of "100 years later" cliche.
