I couldn't exactly recreate any of the completed Acton Lord costumes I've done, but I also found I wasn't really happy with any of them either, so I grabbed elements and played around with them. I'd have liked a bigger A on the chest, but the jacket options only allow for small symbols. If I actually get him to L20 (Radiation/Thermal Corruptor), I'll swap out the Valk cape for a proper one-connection half-cape.
ETA: Thanks to embracing the inherent corruption of AE farming, I got him to L24 in a couple of hours. :) And then I did the cape mission and got a little closer to the kind of cape I want:
