Hooray for cardigans...

Something set off a fire alarm today while I was teaching, so I got to spend 10-15 minutes outside in the literally freezing (plus strong wind) temperatures without a coat. Fortunately, I hadn't taken off my cardigan (the office tends to be a bit cool earlier in the morning) and had some light gloves in the pockets, so I didn't actually take any damage from the cold. :/

Ah, the winter fire alarm. Brings back fond memories of life in the college dorm. I once got to stomp all the way down from the tenth floor to stand out on the icy (icy to the point that you had to concentrate on staying upright so you didn't fall) ground at some ridiculous time along the lines of 2AM and then wait some obscene amount of time before they would let us back in.

Of course, it still pales in comparison to the time the power went completely out on Central Campus for a few hours, during which I fled for the library (on North Campus--it still had power) and everyone else apparently turned into cavemen.
