Car (seat) Wars: The Final Tally
Cost: About $50 for the failed welding attempt, about $650 for replacing the part with a new one. Total: About $700. Happy Birthday To Me.
Time: 1 hour on June 21. 25 hours over June 24-25. 1 hour and an afternoon blocked out after 2 PM on June 28. 4 hours (fortunately I was given a lift home during this time) today.
Aggravation: Quite a bit.
At least it's over. For this time.
I did have one bit of good timing. Just after I got into my car to take it home tonight, the skies opened. A minute later, and I'd have been drenched going out to my car.
