Jumping on the latest blogwagon

dvandom.dreamwidth.org exists and is in the process of importing entries. It obligingly imported my friends list, but since I can't actually see anything by them until they set me to "allowed" it's not that much of a time-saver. So, this joins my Wordpress and Blogspot accounts as "grabbing the ID just in case, but not actually using it" list for now.

What's the point of this dreamwidth thing, though? Just 'not LJ?'

It can mirror to LJ, InsaneJournal, DeadJournal, Inksome and JournalFen as standard options, with an "other journal" option as well. Seems intended to let people bind together diverse blog communities so that you don't have to maintain six different blog flists just to keep track of all of your friends.

When you manage circle, there's checkboxes for view and allow. It looks like the default is to allow everyone you have imported as friends, though.
