I have a 50 SS/invuln brute. It's a nice combo, feels smashy. Get Rage and KO Blow when you can; they are your best things. Well, and whatchacallit, the footstomp thing?
These days I like WP better than invuln but I hear it doesn't work well for a tanker (not enough of an aggro magnet, can't absorb alpha strike), but they also have revised invuln since I last tried it.

Scrappers really need a punchy/fighty set.
