I knew I didn't have a chance of even approaching the painted style used for official Monsterpocalypse art and some of the fan art I've seen, so I decided to go for a different style. I initially toyed with the idea of a Brave and the Bold animated style, but I quickly realized that there was only one comicbook art style to homage for a kaiju: Jack Kirby.
