Random observations

1. It's definitely "jacket-carrying weather" out. Cold enough in the morning I need a coat that's too heavy to stuff in my backpack and definitely too heavy to wear in the afternoon. So I carry it around in the afternoon.

2. The DC Universe JLU packs are marked "Fan Collection 3Pack". No kidding...only a fan collector would buy yet another Flash and Wonder Woman in order to get The Question (which I did). The Fire/Ice/John Stewart pack is the least fan-milking, although I passed on it...the line-wide 'weird eye paint job' issue hits both ladies HARD.

3. For those who might care, Best Buy has a bunch of Filmation sets on sale for $9.99 each, including 32-33 episode half-season sets for the original He-Man, She-Ra and Bravestarr. I never saw Bravestarr, but people keep telling me it was good, so I grabbed the one set they had while getting The Fall and Forbidden Kingdom.

4. The one-disc version of Forbidden Kingdom is a stripped down version, it's not the first disc of the two-disc set. No extras to speak of.

Hey, I heard that Infinite Heroes Capt Boomerang comes in a three-pack with a couple of Titans, so I think I'll pass on that. Maybe I'll get him loose at some point. So how much do I owe you for the others?

I don't know if it's mold degradation, different paint or what, but the Flash in that three-pack just seems...off somehow. (I haven't gotten out one of my earlier ones to actually compare the two, however). Unfortunately, I think Mattel claimed at some point that the JLU three-packs don't sell unless they've got one or two of the Big Five...which shouldn't matter since they've retargeted the line for aggressive collectors.

I'm just hoping that the Infinite Heroes Question (assuming it's Vic and not Renee, since I don't feel obligated to collect her toys) isn't in one of the fabled twelve-packs (which aren't shipping yet). That'd REALLY make me angry.

Well, there's Flash with elbows and knees, and Flash without. This set has the cheaper Flash. I've already got one of that mold and one of the better Flash (which I turned into Myrmidon, see icon).

Oh, I know; between my stupid habit of buying every single-carded Flash with new accessories in the pre-JLU line and my threepacks, I have multiples of both versions of the Flash. But something seemed off about him regardless; maybe it's just that the logo seems a little different.

Good tip on the Best Buy deal, by the time I even GET there all will be sold out though.

I liked the old He-Man cartoon, as goofy as it was, FAR better than that horrible "we wanna be like anime" 2000's version. It was bad fanfiction. She-Ra was surprisingly good, due largely to the He-Man team working on it and not turning it into "yet another generic cartoon for girls". Hordak being almost as bad as Hitler helped, too.
