Granted, the instructions don't show how to attach it, and it takes a little effort to get it into the slot (there's not enough clearance behind the connector), but...bayonet mount on a mortar, dude.

Yeah... if your mortar doesn't explode maybe it can stab someone as it careens down out of the sky like a bullet, which would merely crush them.

Well, the blade itself doesn't actually block the projectile, it got knocked a bit askew when I was setting up for the picture. :)

It looks like it attaches TO the projectile.

The projectile is just the round gunmetal gray bit sticking out of the tan cone. However, when it fires it also ejects one of the pods out the back.
