So, despite being in a rebuilding year (translation: everyone was surprised they won more than four games), KSU got a bowl game. Against Rutgers, which is where my thesis advisor now works. When he was my advisor, though, we were both at Ohio State. And I'm rather glad I'm not there now....

Actually, the place has been pretty calm. Just even more bric-a-brac for sale than usual. All bets are off after New Year's though..
