Heh, smart Wikipeople

In his "The Word" segment tonight, Stephen Colbert told his viewers to start making subjective reality real and go to the Elephants page on Wikipedia, then add an entry about how the population of African elephants has tripled in the last six months. In the past ten minutes or so, the page got locked. Heh.

Stan was wondering when they'd lock it :)

In other news, people who get shot bleed. :)

I hate to be doom and gloom, because I love Mr. Colbert, but what he did could be construed as a "terroris attack" by the DMCA/Patriot Act, as he could have possibly caused denial of service on Wikipedia's webserver. I'm sure Wikipedia are happy to have the attention, but I'm also sure there are a lot of conservatives out there who would love to put their fingers around Mr. Colbert's throat.

I personally find it to be genius, but some people have no sense of humor.

Oh, I would LOVE for this to become a test case on the Patriot Act.
