Speed painting!
As mentioned in the previous entry, Reaper Miniatures had a speed painting event, kind of like Iron Chef for minis. After the mini and paints are revealed, you have 60 minutes to paint the sucker using two brushes they supply (both of which longer-haired than I prefer). I only used 9 of the colors (avoiding silver, maiden flesh and yellow), and only used white to blend. Made a light gray for the eyeballs and a light brown for the scroll vellum. This is the picture as finished, I have not touched it up (despite temptation to at least fix the eyes).
Reaper paints tend to dry more slowly (but are smoother) than what I'm used to, and it was so humid that the paper towels set out for brush-drying felt damp before starting. Probably could have done more in 60 minutes with faster drying times.
