The other kind of political flipping

The local city council race was finally decided today by a coin flip (three open seats, tie for third place at 2573 votes each). Annoyingly to me, the tie was between the two I voted for (you get to cast three votes, but only two candidates had views I was willing to support), but at least the one I liked better won the flip.
