Diabetes cure?

Right now, it takes an injection directly into the pancreas to work (not easy with mice), it's only temporary (4 months per shot) and there's no guarantee it'd work the same way in humans, but it's promising. I can put up with a few years of dealing with diabetes easily enough, but it'd be nice to see a true cure before I have to seriously worry about the long term side-effects.
