The problem with the Hubble is that it's not in the same orbit as the space station. For safety's sake since the last accident, the Shuttle hasn't been going on any missions that weren't in that orbit...the idea being that if something breaks on takeoff and they reach orbit, they can hole up in the ISS until a rescue mission can be mounted.
