dvandom | Day 1 in Green Bay - the afternoon and evening

Hit the local comics shop (Powers) and gaming shop (Gnome Games), which are in the same shopping center. Both very nice stores...and the gaming store owner had heard of Patch & Crow's Nest where I shop (both stores are in the top ten Legend of Five Rings stores). Sadly, Monsterpocalypse hasn't taken off locally, but it did mean I was able to get the store's Mega Mecha Khan for the price of buying two boosters (Anyone need an Arsia Outpost? I got two more now). Grabbed a few books on my Missing List at Powers, plus snagged Zatanna for the heck of it.

Also went to Toys R Us, but while they had most of the new Legos, they didn't have blindpack minifigs. The rest can wait for the Topeka TRU. Picked up a few new mesh pizza platters at a local kitchen supply place, then it was time to head to sis's place for dinner. I gave Marah (older niece) a Polly Pocket Pop n Swap pet set, and she refused to switch parts to make a catgirl Polly, so I guess she's in no danger of becoming a furry fan. She seems to grasp existential crises, though, as later on she had several Pollies arguing "I'm Polly!" "No, I'm Polly!"

After dinner we went to an educational supply/edutoy store, but all I ended up getting was a deluxe chalk holder. Oooh, swank. Tomorrow it's down to the Appleton mall and the TRU there.
